Eileen Watkins worked for newspapers for most of her career, meanwhile always taking regular lessons at the nearest riding stable. The only horse she ever owned, Brenda, came with a serious, chronic health problem. She eventually retired the ailing mare to Bright Futures Farm, in Pennsylvania, and stories she heard from that rescue’s founder inspired her to write Reboot Ranch. Eileen also has published more than a dozen mystery and suspense novels, most recently the Cat Groomer Mystery series with Kensington Publishing. She is a member of Sisters in Crime and Mystery Writers of America.
